Which tumor came first: Liver or the colon?

www.doi.org/10.52768/jjgastro/1172

We present an extremely unusual diagnosis in an asymptomatic patient with a huge invasive, non-obstructive tumor involving the right colon and right lobe of the liver. A 70-year old female was referred to the emergency department of a tertiary hospital by her general practitioner with a six-month history of lethargy, six-kilogram weight loss and vague right sided abdominal pain.

Meta analysis of the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine and antibiotics in the treatment of acute appendicitis

www.doi.org/10.52768/jjgastro/1173

To evaluate the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) combined with antibiotics in the treatment of acute appendicitis (AA) through meta-analysis of literature comparison between the treatment of AA with antibiotics alone.

Is the epithelial-mesenchymal transition an ally or an enemy of cancer?

www.doi.org/10.52768/jjgastro/1174

The cancer continues to be a leading cause of mortality in the world, the increment number of the cases has been correlated with the mechanisms that the tumoral cells have for growth and metastasis, there are some processes for the survival and resistance of cancer cells including epithelial-mesenchymal transition, metastasis, drug resistance and angiogenesis.

Elastomer in vascular tissue engineering research progress of scaffold materials for constructing tissue engineered blood vessels

www.doi.org/10.52768/jjgastro/1175

This paper first introduces the requirements of tissue engineering for scaffold materials, and then analyzes the available scaffold materials, hoping to provide help for the research of tissue engineering vascular scaffold materials, and then promote the rapid development of tissue engineering industry.

The expression of IL-35 in the prophase of liver failure and its preliminary exploration for the mechanism of immunoregulation by IL-35 and glucocorticoids

www.doi.org/10.52768/jjgastro/1176

Inorder to stop the progression of the prophase of liver faiure. We determined appropriate dosages for mice models in the prophase of liver failure. We aims to explore the levels of IL-35 and relevant cytokines in mice during the prophase of liver failure induced by concanavalin, in order to elucidate potential immunomodulatory mechanisms of IL-35 and glucocorticoids in these mice.

Clinical efficacy of low-molecular-weight heparin combined with insulin in the treatment of hypertriglyceridemic acute pancreatitis

www.doi.org/10.52768/jjgastro/1177

To investigate the clinical effect of low-molecular-weight heparin combined with insulin in the treatment of hypertriglyceridemic acute pancreatitis (HTG-AP). A total of 106 HTG-AP patients who were admitted to the Department of Gastroenterology, Huaibei People's Hospital from May 2022 to July 2023 were selected as the research subjects and divided into low-molecular-weight heparin group.
